Pastured Rabbits

| We are going to be raising our rabbits on pasture this year! We hate the idea of breeding rabbits in small cages where does (mother rabbits) live out their lives in 3' by 3' cages or even smaller. In summer our outdoor pens will be moved daily to a new clean area of pasture. In winter our rabbits will be housed in hoop houses in large pens. Young rabbits will be allowed to live in small social groups as they would in nature. We feel that it is important to let rabbits behave like rabbits and this includes eating hay and interacting with other rabbits. Pastured rabbits have more omega 3 fatty acids than rabbits fed on pellets only. Already a very healthy meat our rabbit meat will be even more healthy!
